Gaining weight is incredibly easy. The world is consuming an incredibly unhealthy diet which involves eating a lot of processed and packaged foods full of harmful additives that are ruining our health. The obsession with junk food is another problem as well as is the lack of physical activity.

The Waist-To-Hip (WTH) ratio can easily measure your fat percentage and tell you if you’re overweight. For women, the percentage is 25%, with a 2,3% tolerance. This means that if you’ve had a WTH of 23 in the past and you’re at 25% now, you need to check your Body Mass Index (BMI) as well in order to see if you’re overweight.
Clothes can help you learn if you’ve gained weight as well. If you don’t fit in your old clothes, you’ve probably gained some weight. If people around you are telling you that you’ve gained weight, you probably have.

If you’re already determined you’re overweight or you’ve at least gained a bit of weight, you need to change your diet for the better. In general, you need to eliminate processed and junk food from your diet and stick to a liquid diet, in which 20-30% of the meals are soups, stews, broths or milk.
Eat less food than you feel you need to eat. Keep your portions small in order to feel hungry every 3 hours. Never eat after 8 PM – if you’re still hungry afterward, drink a glass of milk or eat a piece of fruit. Don’t drink water during or after meals. According to experts, drinking water is allowed only an hour after you’ve had your meal.
Alcohol, soda drinks, canned tea or juice and too much coffee are strictly prohibited. Of course, you also need to stay physically active. If you can’t hit the gym or jog, walk 4-5 times per day for 15 minutes.
Lightly cooked vegetarian food is recommended for overweight people, as are smoothies, salads and seasonal fruit as snacks 3-4 times per day.
All junk food including pizza, burgers, hot-dogs, pastries, and sweets should be avoided if you need to lose weight. Stick to these tips and you’ll be able to lose some weight and improve your overall health.
